We mend seams on bridges of trust and affection.
Everyone has a right to their place of safety and welcome. I practice in a way that recognizes all differences and cultures. I aim to help my client's travel in the direction that brings them fulfillment, regardless of how long we traverse the path. Progress is not linear, but it is obtained through repetitive steps.
As a Couple's therapy professional I have studied and followed the work of Gottman Therapy. Although there are many types of relationships, I believe in the importance of open communication, vulnerability, and loyalty in a romantic relationship. Most couple's that I work with have challenges in these areas and struggle with the competing and complicating factors in their lives. Connection is a daily necessity in relationships and exploring the different ways to do so are critical.
When someone seeks my help I take the time to make sure I am right for their intended needs. Regardless of struggling with depression, life transitions, stress, co-parenting, abuse, identity or impulse control; my aim is to understand the whole person.
“Trust is built in very small moments, which I call 'sliding door' moments. In any interaction, there is a possibility of connecting with your partner or turning away from your partner. One such moment is not important, but if you're always choosing to turn away, then trust erodes in a relationship- very gradually, very slowly.” - Dr. John Gottman
“Happily ever after simply means that both partners are known, valued, accepted for who they are and who they are becoming." - Dr. John Gottman
I provide telehealth therapy only for the state of Florida.
